A shared objective of ICCC and SICI is the promotion of sustainable and comprehensive Canada-India partnership. A copy of the Concept Paper for the Regina RT is attached. Participants from academia, Industry, think tanks and governments will explore and identify the next steps in rapidly developing Canada-India relations. In addition to a discussion focused on the topic of partnership in agriculture and food processing, this event provides an opportunity for an exchange of views on:

  • Mechanisms and modalities for implementing various M.O.Us and agreements between Canada and India
  • The need for a cohesive and coordinated approach involving whole of Government, i.e. governments at local, provincial and national level, and other stake holders i.e. private sector, academia, industry, and
  • The role of bridge-builders, especially the Diaspora, which has a huge potential for support
