Why another International Church in The Hague? The Hague is the third largest city in The Netherlands with population well over half a million (2007). 40% of this population is made up of other nationals, ethnic groups and cultures from all over the world. They come to The Hague either as expatriates of Government, international organizations or are first, second or third generation immigrants of all reasons. Since the greater percentage of The Hague population remains unchurched and many actually still do not believe in the existence of God. The need for evangelism and the establishment of more life giving Churches that will truly reflect the cross-cultural uniqueness of the City cannot be over-emphasized.
What’s the difference from others? ICCC is envisioning filling the need for a life giving church in Voorburg, a suburb neighborhood of The Hague. We're a bilingual (English and Dutch), interdenominational congregation that exist first and foremost for Christ who we look up to in all our experiences. Secondly we exist for people in other that they may connect to one another, experience love, change, hope, and passion in an environment where individual loneliness amidst the masses is so prevalent.
Atmosphere: Taking a cue from the very first Church in the bible (Acts 2:1-10, 6:1-7) we recognize the cultural diversities that exist in The Hague and in our beautiful neighborhood of Voorburg. As such, we strive to create a non-discriminatory atmosphere where every member or visitor no matter the background or culture is respected, welcomed and given equal opportunity to serve and be served in the body of Christ.
