Seven (7) board members are in the middle of their first two-year term and are eligible to continue till the 2023 AGM.

Virender Rathi & Bhavik Parikh has completed their two years term (out of four years) on the board and retires as a board member at the AGM.
It may be recalled that for the 2022 elections, the Nomination Committee was appointed in August 2022. It comprises the following members:

The nomination committee approved of the following candidates as eligible to contest the 2022 elections to the board.

Anthony Peter is the Returning Officer for the election.

Profiles of Candidates contesting Board Elections
Bhavik Parikh is an innovative technologist, data architecture and researcher who has worked with multiple fortune 500 companies and provided B2C, B2B and B2G solutions. He serves on various non for profit boards across Canada, USA and India. He has worked in various business domains including human resource, finance, space, health, pharmaceutical and education. Bhavik has a bachelor degree in Business Community Enterprise and Information Technology from University of Liverpool and master’s degree in Information Systems engineering from University of Manchester.
Sheelu Sharma is Senior Manager at Laksh Law Professional Corporation, a law firm dealing with Immigration, real estate, and civil litigation. Her global experience includes working at consulate general of India at Dubai and being the Director of Falcon Marketing and Management Consultancies in Dubai and Falcon trading company at Sharjah. Sheelu has pursued fashion designing, modelling, and acting, and has been involved in social event planning. Since then, she has actively contributed to various social and cultural welfare activities through non-profit organizations.
Mukesh Narula, is a Director with GS Holding who are the owners of Global T 20 Cricket in Canada. He is also working as Head of their Cricket Operations. Apart from this, He is working as a Broker with Realbiz Realty Inc. he came from Baroda - India where he was working in Reliance Industries as GM- Corporate Social responsibility. His role involved Rural development, Corporate Communications and Public Relations. He worked with IPCL and RIL for over 20 Years in Baroda.
Nayan Brahmbhatt is an experienced Mortgage Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry. Skilled in Sales, Sales Management, Insurance, Business Relationship Management, and Business Development. Strong finance professional with a Bachelor of Commerce with double graduation in law. At the ICCC, Nayan has been a member of the Mentoring Group and member of the SME committee.
Voting process
To allow free and fair elections, the Chamber conducts elections using an electronic voting platform, Simply Voting (www.simplyvoting.com).
Eligible voters will receive an email with electronic voting instructions, prior to Monday, 26 September 2022, which is the date on which voting begins.
The voting schedule is as follows:
Voting opens: Monday 26 September 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
Voting closes: Thursday 29 September at 3:30 p.m.
