Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) in partnership with City of Brampton and City of Markham organised a business roundtable on, “Promoting Canada India Bilateral Trade & Investment” with a visiting international business delegation from India. The delegation was led by Mr. Bharat Lal was exploring the new areas for promoting bilateral trade and investment between Canada and India in sectors such as energy, education, information technology, finance, infrastructure, automotive industry and chemicals.
Mr. Dharma P Jain, President, ICCC, chaired the round table. In his welcome remarks he emphasized on the growing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. India is a big market that has enormous scope for the Canadian businesses to invest and explore the new possibilities.
Mr. Naval Bajaj, Immediate Past President ICCC and Chair India Mission 2015 moderated the discussion. He said that ICCC led a trade and business delegation in 2013 during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and had fruitful B2B discussions with the Indian small and medium scale business leaders.
Hon. Minister Bal Gosal, Minister of State for sports also joined the roundtable and said that India is important for Canada for businesses and he is looking to visit India in the coming time for further strengthening the trade ties.
Mr. Bharat Lal, leader of the delegation extended the invitation to ICCC for attending the Vibrant Gujarat 2015 summit in Gandhi Nagar. It is an opportunity which should not be missed if one wishes to do business with India. All the stakeholders in businesses, government and decision makers will be there for interaction with the visiting business people, he said.
Consul General Akhilesh Mishra highlighted the importance of such a flagship event 'Vibrant Gujarat 2015'. He said that the event will provide a certain boost to Canada India business relations.
Apart from them, Sohail Saeed Director Economic Development, City of Brampton, Stephen Chait, Director Economic Development, City of Markham and eminent Indo-Canadian business leaders participated in the roundtable.
