The Future of Education

Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce invites you to join the panel discussion on “The future of Education”. The world is going through a very critical phase of transformation and the education system do have a critical role to play for shaping the future of the mankind. Education through the modern means of communication through digital technologies made it more accessible and also pose numerous challenges. The panel discussion will brainstorm on the Future of Education.

Vinitha Gengatharan, Executive Director, International York University

She is respected and collaborative leader in the higher education administration and not-for-profit sectors with 17+ years of experience and expertise in international relations & education, student affairs & services and not-for-profit board governance & policy. A skilled administrator specializing in establishing new portfolios and teams and creating infrastructure to support and lead high performing teams and integrated service delivery.

 
Andrew Ness, Dean, International at Humber College

He is a passionate advocate of, and leader for, post-secondary education. I have spent over 30 years working in post-secondary education as a student recruiter, marketer, admissions professional, enrollment manager, Director and Dean. I have led successful initiatives and projects with institutions in Canada, the US and around the world. My current focus is internationalization of higher education in all its forms. I know from much personal experience how intrinsically valuable global experiences are for people and their careers, whether the experience is in a global classroom, or from work experience in a global setting.

 

Terence Young CEO of Gravitas Strategies

Terence is the founding Chair of Drug Safety Canada, a national advocacy group devoted to making Canadians safer when using prescription drugs.  He is also President and CEO of Gravitas Strategies, a communications and government relations firm, and teaches political theory part time at Seneca College.  He has 40 years’ experience in the public and private sectors and has represented numerous corporate clients as well as not for profits and arts groups.   

 

Elizabeth Long, Partner at Long Mangalji LLP

She is a Canadian immigration lawyer who has practiced exclusively in immigration law since 2005 with the immigration law firm of Long Mangalji LLP. Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law, a prestigious list of which only approximately 50 lawyers in all of Canada belong. She has managed the corporate immigration files of Fortune 500 companies and represented a number of high-profile immigration clients who have appeared in the national media. She has been testified several times before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration on various immigration policies.
