Murarilal Thapliyal
President


Murarilal Thapliyal is a Managing Partner/Director of a boutique law firm in Brampton, Ontario known as Thapliyal

& Rai Law Firm(www.pmlawyers.ca) He was called to the bar in 2007 by the Law Society of Upper Canada (now it is known as the Law Society of Ontario). He is known to dedicate part of his services to those who come to him with little means. In pursuit of a better life for his family, he immigrated to Canada over 19 years ago. As a prominent lawyer within the community, he prides himself in serving the needs of the people and communities in the Greater Toronto Area for over a decade. For the last more than a decade, he has worked for the cause of vulnerable seniors, abused women and at risk youth. He provide pro bono legal services to many organizations/community members who does not have resources to retain legal counsel to seek justice. He was awarded by Midweek/South Asian Pulse in 2009 for the best legal services to multicultural community in Ontario. As a sports lover, Mr. Thapliyal spares a good amount of time to promote various sports specially cricket. Mr. Thapliyal is Founder and President of UK Warriors Cricket Club Canada since 2011 as well as President of Canadian School of Cricket, Canada since 2016. He is pioneer lawyer for Global T20 ( GT20) in Canada. He was honored with prestigious award by Canadian Multicultural Council with the Outstanding Asian Canadian Award 2018 dedicated to his services to multi cultural community. The City of Brampton honoured Mr. Thapliyal with prestigious award for Long Term Services 2018 in recognition of 10 years of community services. During Covid 19 Pandemic, Ontario Premier Hon. Doug Ford, MPP Mr. Prabhmeet Sarkaria, MPP Mr. Amarjot Sandhu, MPP Mr. Stephen Lecee recognized and appreciated Mr. Thapliyal’s dedicated work for organizing Food Donation Drive and serving hot meals to Frontline workers/Medical staff Brampton Civic Hospital and seniors as well as homeless people.


Mr. Thapliyal is at the forefront of many volunteering groups and donation campaigns by being the Founder and President of the THAPLIYAL FOUNDATION CANADA, Registered Charity under CRA. At TFC Mr. Thapliyal is monthly donor of SICK KIDS FOUNDATION CANADA ( www.sickkids.ca) and generate funds through the charity events for Cancer charity organizations and various other organizations to support social, medical cause as well as to promote youth for social-welfare awareness. During Covid 19 crises in 2020 TFC donated Oxygen Concentration Units to State of Uttarakhand, India and delivered to remote villages of Himalaya region.

Bhavik Parikh is an innovative technologist, data architecture and researcher who has worked with multiple fortune 500 companies and provided B2C, B2B and B2G solutions. He serves on various non for profit boards across Canada, USA and India. He has worked in various business domains including human resource, finance, space, health, pharmaceutical and education.

Bhavik has a bachelor degree in Business Community Enterprise and Information Technology from University of Liverpool and masters degree in Information Systems engineering from University of Manchester.

Arvind Bhardwaj

Arvind Bhardwaj is CEO Go Brands Communications. He is a former Vice President and Director of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Arvind is a sales and marketing professional with over two decades of proven track-record in media and retail sales.

He has expertise in human resources, performance-oriented team building and training in media sales and retail sales and operations.

Chirag Shah

Chirag Shah, a young technocrat who has rapidly scaled peaks of technological achievements by constantly striving to serve clients beyond their expectations. His company, SUBHTECH SOLUTIONS INC., focuses on adopting innovative approaches to clients’ needs. Chirag is actively involved in advising high net worth individuals and businesses in Canada and India through his boutique consulting and advisory service VAYAM MANTU ADVISORS INC.  

A firm believer in giving back to the Canadian society, and to the Indo-Canadian community, Chirag strives to work towards positive transformation for a number of not-for-profit organizations.

Rakesh Joshi
Vice President - Legal

Rakesh Joshi is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a practicing lawyer in Toronto.  He is member of Canadian Bar Association and Director of Canadian Association of South Asian Lawyers. Engaged mainly in Real Estate Law and Corporate Law, Rakesh has handled a high volume of transactions successfully to the utmost satisfaction of his clients.

He was decorated with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Sanjay Kulkarni
Vice President - Startups and Strategy
 

Sanjay Kulkarni is the CEO and President of Sankul Enterprises Inc., a boutique firm providing CFO services and business value advice to small and medium sized companies. He is a Vice President and Director of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Sanjay is a CA(I), CS(I), CMA, CPA, CFA and Chartered Director. With years of experience as a CFO of medium-sized enterprises, Sanjay is a problem-solving leader with the ability to effect change by formulating strategy and business models, business analytics, optimizing capital structure, in-depth business valuations and by identifying/resolving critical issues.

Sheelu Sharma
Vice President - Membership

Sheelu Sharma is Senior Manager at Laksh Law Professional Corporation, a law firm dealing with Immigration, real estate, and civil litigation. Her global experience includes working at consulate general of India at Dubai and being the Director of Falcon Marketing and Management Consultancies in Dubai and Falcon trading company at Sharjah.

Sheelu has pursued fashion designing, modelling, and acting, and has been involved in social event planning. Since then, she has actively contributed to various social and cultural welfare activities through nonprofit organizations.

Vikas Sharma
Director - SME

Since 2006, Vikas has been the President and Owner of a post-industrial plastics recycling company in Toronto, Canada. The firm specializes in trading a wide variety of secondary fiber, post-industrial plastics and raw material to build the efficiency and profitability of its customers recycling operations. Vikas has significant experience in international trade and over the last two decades, Vikas has exported to China, India, Vietnam, Mexico and  the USA. He specialises in India and North America trade.

Vikas is the President and Founder of the Care4Cause Foundation, which offers dignity, compassion and respect to individuals suffering poverty and unfortunate circumstances. Vikas joined the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation in 2019 as Director and worked on expanding its Christmas Miracle on Main Street toy drive charity event to Brampton.

Prashant Srivastava

Nominated Director








Prashant is a leader in the international education sector with over seventeen years of experience in international business development. Prashant has worked in the field of international education in the US, Canada, and India. Prashant has been working at Seneca, since June 2014, and was appointed in July 2018, as a Director Business Development, to lead Seneca’s student recruitment and business development in South Asia. Prashant came to Canada as an international student in 2003, after graduation, Prashant started working for Vancouver Island University (VIU). Prashant has worked at New York Institute of Technology and University of California.


He has delivered presentations in several international conferences on Indian Education System, Canadian Education, Ontario College System and participated panel discussions on International Education, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development. He works closely with Indian and Canadian Government in organizing international training programs of Indian Civil Servants in Canada. In his free time Prashant volunteers with Canadian business chambers, international trade associations, and Indo-Canadian community organizations in deepening Canada’s international relations.

Virender Rathi

Nominated Director

Virender Rathi is a versatile lawyer, specializes in Immigration and Real Estate. Virender graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and CASAL.


He is strongly committed to community and actively involved in many NFP’s including ICCC.
