Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce is organizing an event on Fad Diets vs Healthy Habits. As we all know that modern day life is full of long hours of work, mental stress, physical fatigue and less hours to sleep, which adversely impact human health. To be on top of everything, one should be healthy with sound mind.
A fad diet is a stylish weight-loss plan that promises dramatic results. A fad diet is a diet that is popular for a time, similar to fads in fashion. They are often promoted as requiring little effort and producing a "quick fix.
The event will discuss the benefits of adopting fad diets vs healthy habits.
Sunita Mohan is a Homeopathic Doctor, Metabolic Balance Coach, Holistic Nutritionist and co-author of family cookbook, “Feed Me... I’m Hungry”. She was featured on the Dr. Oz show talking about Ancient Ayurvedic Secrets for weight loss. She has been on Rogers cable 10, hosting Health Matters, health expert for “Kitty Talk” on Omni TV in May 2012. She is also a Metabolic Balance coach for meal plans and weight loss.
They will both talk about the most popular fad diets. Keto, High Fat Low Carb, Intermittent Fasting, Paleo. The focus of this session will be how many carbs are best to include in your diet and the side effects & benefits of fad diets. They will discuss the best meal plan to follow for a balanced lifestyle and the dangers of eliminating food groups from meals.
Reema will provide tools and techniques to breakthrough habits as a result of leading an auto-pilot life. She will be presenting strategies to respond to stressful situations in life and lead a happier, peaceful and focused life—personally and at the workplace. The tools will teach how to use your breath as your anchor to achieve calmness and reduce stress in your life. Practicing continuous mindful meditation will enhance the skills that will enable you to become more conscious, intentional & present.
