The Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Mr. Bharat Masrani, Group President & CEO of TD Bank Group is the recipient of the ICCC President’s Award for 2016.

Mr. Masrani is Group President and Chief Executive Officer of TD Bank Group. Bharat has more than 27 years of banking experience and is a member of the TD Bank Group Board of Directors. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for TD Bank Group from July 2013.

The President’s Award is decided by the President of the Chamber, and the recipient is a towering personality whose contributions to Indo-Canadian society are so vast and varied that a particular category would not do justice to those achievements.

Past recipients of the President’s Award include such stalwarts of the Indo-Canadian community such as Ramesh Chotai, Maneka Thakkar, Ratna Omidvar, Vasu Chanchlani and Stewart Beck, among others.

The Annual Gala and Awards Night is a marquee event where the Chamber recognizes the achievements of Indo-Canadians from across Canada at an award presentation. Our past Award Galas have been attended by prominent business and political leaders. It is extensively covered by Indian and mainstream media.

The Award Gala will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto on June 11, 2016 at 6:00pm.
