ICCC - YP Networking session
Particiapants at Young Professionals committee networking meeting
The ICCC Young Professionals committee started off the New Year with a fun and entertaining networking event on January 29th, 2013. The event was organized at Dazzling, a resto-bar in Toronto's downtown neighbourhood. The purpose of the event was to make new friends and strengthen and rekindle previously-made connections.
Despite the inclement weather, the event saw a tremendous turnout. Akanksha Paliwal, the Marketing Lead for Young Professionals committee launched the evening by introducing ICCC and YP. She highlighted the core objectives of the committee - to promote community-building between South Asian entrepreneurs and young professionals and to foster new opportunities. Poorva Dutt, Communications Lead for ICCC-YP also addressed the crowd and spoke about the relevance of networking in a professional's or an entrepreneur's personal and professional life.
Following the introductions, the event's attendees were divided into groups of six for an icebreaker activity. Though this was a timed exercise, the activity was a huge success as it allowed attendees to get comfortable and learn something unique about each other.
The event lasted about three hours - and members benefited both by establishing new connections and reviving old ones. For more details pertaining to this event, please visit ICCC-YP's Facebook page at:
