ICCC Team with Binning and Benin |
The first event with Arun Srivastava as the President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) proved to be a spectacular success when members and guests came in large numbers to participate in the Hard Hats Tour of Ace Bakery in Mississauga.
The Hard Hats tour series is an innovative learning opportunity where participants get a privileged “behind the scenes” tour of a successful business enterprise. Principals of a variety of participating businesses host the tours and provide insight into establishing and managing a successful business.
The ICCC members and guests were welcomed at the ACE Bakery’s facility in Mississauga by Roy Benin, President of ACE Bakery. He also made a slide presentation of the facility and narrated the history as well as the unique features about the bakery as well as the brand. Pavi Binning, the President and the CEO of George Weston Limited, and the winner of the 2016 ICCC Corporate Executive , was also present at the facility.
ACE Bakery was started in 1993 by two food lovers who decided the best way to get the kind of bread they wanted was to bake it themselves. The ACE plant has been upgraded with latest state of the art technology with fully automated plant. ACE Bakery has recently invested huge amount resulting it as one of the fully automated plant in Canada.
With presence across North America, and plants in both Canada and in the United States, ACE is steadily growing across different market segments, and has become the main supplier to a variety of brands such as A&W, Starbucks, Keg, among other major food and beverage names. Unsurprisingly, they began at a small bakery café, using natural starters, letting the dough rise slowly, making small batches of hand-formed artisan breads and baking in a stone-deck oven.
Today, ACE Bakery breads are available in a lot more places, but they’re made pretty much the same way, with no preservatives and using only the finest, simplest ingredients. The bakery takes pride on baking rustic artisan breads that the consumers find have more flavor, a richer colour, a chewy, moist texture and a satisfying crisp crust. ACE Bakery products are made with the best ingredients and natural starters. There are no added preservatives, followed European traditions and techniques to make the very unique, high-quality breads and baked goods.
