At a recently-held board meeting of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC), the board unanimously passed a resolution appointing Pradyuman Jhala and Rakesh Joshi as directors of the ICCC with immediate effect.

Kanwar Dhanjal, President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the new members of the board. He said, “Both Pradyuman and Rakesh have been active in the community and continue to contribute to the Canadian society in varied ways. Their presence will strengthen the board and give it a sharp focus.”

 
Pradyuman Jhala is the President and CEO of SPS Canada Immigration and founder of the SPS Canada Group of Companies that includes SPS Canada Immigration, Student Placement Services Inc., SPS Canada Capital, SPS Canada Asset Corp. and South Asian International Student Association (SAISA). He is an active member of Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. He has also been appointed as the Commission of Oaths by the Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario Canada. With over 15 years of experience as a Senior Immigration Practitioner, Pradyuman handles all immigration-related matters for global clients. In addition to his growing practice, Pradyuman is a huge proponent of community involvement.


Rakesh Joshi is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a practicing lawyer in Toronto. He is also a member of Canadian Bar Association and Director of Canadian Association of South Asian Lawyers. Rakesh is serving in various leadership positions within the legal community and has devoted himself in mentoring the budding lawyers. Engaged mainly in Real Estate Law and Corporate Law, Rakesh has handled a high volume of transactions successfully to the utmost satisfaction his clients. He was decorated with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is on the panels of prestigious print media houses and community organizations in Toronto and GTA as their Legal Advisor/ Member Advisory Board. He has a great passion for community service. He is a member of Brampton School Traffic Security Council. He has been encouraging and supporting various supports events in GTA.


As per the by laws of the Chamber, the appointment of the nominated directors is for one year and will end in September 2018.
