Prime Minister Trudeau to travel to India for state visit

Canada’s Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, will travel to India – at the invitation of India’s Prime Minister Hon. Narendra Modi – for a state visit from February 17 to 23, 2018.

Canada and India enjoy a special relationship that is based on a common democratic values and burgeoning economic trade that has been growing exponentially during the last decade. Since September 2016, there have been eleven ministerial visits to India, including, most recently, a trade mission led by Minister of International Trade Hon. François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Hon. Navdeep Bains, and Minister of Transport Hon. Marc Garneau, in November 2017.

Prime Minister Trudeau will visit Agra, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. The visit will provide an opportunity to strengthen Canada India economic ties. He will participate in several business roundtables to promote business and commercial relations between Canada and India. The Canadian delegation will also work closely with Indian leaders to advance mutual growth and prosperity.

The Participation is limited to attend the business forum in Mumbai on 20th February and in New Delhi on 22nd February 2018. ICCC will facilitate the registration of ICCC members in due course.
