    The first of its kind Sports Forum organized by Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) was a great success highlighting the need to have more engagements of players in the decision making process to make the Canadian emerging sports most popular and at par with other international teams on the globe.

    The theme for the forum was Emerging Sports: Cricket and other Popular National Sports. Sports representatives from International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket Canada, NBA Canada, Tennis Canada, Rogers Media, Schulich School of Business - York University, Canadian national players, participated in the forum that explored the regulatory framework, the institutional avenues and support available to emerging sports in Canada. It was divided into two panel discussions.

    Hon. Bal Gosal, federal minister of state for sports kicked off the proceedings with an exciting keynote address. The minister said that federal government is funding $ 200 million every year for the sports and an additional $500 million for creating sports infrastructure in Ontario for the upcoming Pan Am & Parapan American Games 2015.

    Earlier ICCC president Mr. Dharma P Jain, in his welcome remarks said that ICCC sports forum is to explore how these emerging new games in the sector are formalized to have more international games in Canada. These emerging sports are significant because of the interest of the people in these games especially the South Asian Community’s love for Cricket.

    Moderated by Mukesh Narula, National Head Coach - Cricket Canada and with participation from sports sector that included Mr. Ben Kavenagh, Regional Development Manager- Americas, International Cricket Council, Mr. Ingleton Liburd, Cricket Canada, Ms. Monali Patel, Canadian National Cricket player, and Binoy Thomas, Editor Weekly Voice; the panel that discussed Emerging Sports: Cricket, highlighted the challenges faced by players and coaches of the Cricket and how the Cricket should be introduced at the school level to make it more popular like Ice Hockey. The panelists agreed that Cricket should get more funding for the promotion of the game and develop required infrastructure under a single transparent management to attract more new players into the game.

    The second panel comprising Mr. Rowan Barrett, Executive Vice President/Assistant General Manager, Canada Basketball, Mr. Mark Healy, Chief Marketing Officer, Tennis Canada, Mr. Navaid Mansuri, Senior Vice President, Television and Broadcast Operations, Rogers Media, Mr. Vijay Setlur, Sports Marketing Instructor, Schulich School of Business - York University and moderated by Mr. Bobby Sahni, Partner, Co-Founder Ethnicity; discussed the other popular national sports and how these sports can be made popular among the South Asian Community. Panellist also agreed that south Asian sports should be encouraged to get them at the national level which will also help in integration of other popular Canadian national sports among the south Asian community. The panelists pointed out that there is old mindset among the South Asian community so they are not coming forward to put their kids into popular sports and pushing them into the academic activities only.

    This forum was first of its kind hosted by Chamber aimed to start a dialogue and finding ways for integrating and connecting emerging sports and other national sports.

    Indo- Canada Chamber of Commerce organised an interactive session on Intergenerational tax planning: transferring wealth to next generation on 02-December 2014 at the ICCC headquarter.

    		  Mr. Phil Friedlan, J.D, MBA, of Friedlan Law was the guest speaker at the session. He shared his expertise on importance of estate planning, tax and non-tax issues, consequences of failure to plan in advance and other family issues. In Canada it is estimated that approximately $ 1 trillion would be transferred between generations over the next generation. Out of 100 families;54% do not have plans in place, he said. Planning in place is must to create, preserve and review that wealth in the person’s lifetime and distribute those assets after the death as per the wishes of that individual.

     Dharma P Jain   Mr. Dharma P Jain, President, ICCC in his welcome remarks said that wealth transfer strategy should be understood in letter and spirit to provide financial support to the next generation at each stage of their life. This strategy is ideal for parents who would like to start saving for their child’s future, and grandparents who would like to leave an inheritance for their children or grandchildren. Leaving money for children can be more affordable if it is planned well in advance with an expert advice. A well planned strategy can build a legacy for the people and helpful in maximizing the value of their financial resources.

    Brij K Sharma, Vice President Finance and SME, ICCC said, that the session this evening is aimed to create awareness among the Chamber’s continuing effort to provide first-hand information from an expert to make future planning in intergenerational wealth transfer.

    The event was well attended despite bad snowy weather and was very well received.

    Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce organized an interactive panel discussion on, “Women in Business - Breaking the Glass Ceiling” on 27 November 2014 at the ICCC headquarter in Toronto. The session was part of ICCC-CIBC speaker series. It was focussed on the ICCC’s Women Entrepreneurs Professionals (WEP).

    Ms. Ginni Sethi, Director WEP of the Chamber welcomes all participants and said that the panel discussion will provide information on how women can get success in their businesses to scale new heights.

    Ms. Gillian Whitebread, Vice President- Diversity & Inclusion and Executive Talent Management was the main speaker. Ms. Hazel Fernandes, Senior Director- Executive Talent Management, Ms. Supreet Warna, Senior Director, Frontline Effectiveness and Fahra Murad, Manager, Sponsorship Marketing were the other panelist.

    Panel discussed that women should overcome their barriers and realize their full potential. In business, women should network with a purpose in mind, plan for big things and ready to take bold decisions, negotiation skills should be used during business conversation, and one should be strong enough to handle tough interventions, must have smart leadership qualities and your efforts in business must yield good results. 

    The discussion was followed with the question answer session. Ms. Shibani Sahney, Chair WEP committee gave vote of thanks.

    ICCC-Young Professional's Networking Event 'Meet & Greet'

    Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional Committee organised its first networking event ‘Meet & Greet’ on 26 November 2014 in Brampton. The event provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to network and discussion about their future plans to grow their career, professional and business endeavours.


    Mr. Sameer Sharma, Chair, Young Professionals Committee welcomed all the guests and informed the purpose of committee was to help achieve the twin objectives of ICCC,  by involvement of young Indo Canadians in the entrepreneurial activities of the chamber.  He informed to host events such as "Chai with CEO" and career fairs. 


    Dharma P Jain, President of ICCC appreciated the committee’s initiative and congratulated them for the successful event. He also throws light on the ICCC’s objectives as how the 37 year’s old chamber is working for the growth of Canada India bilateral trade ties and other ICCC activities. He spoke how networking events like this was important for young professionals for making new friends, looking for new ideas, career change etc. He also briefly spoke about the chamber’s upcoming India Mission 2015.  


    Mr. Tony Chawla, Vice President of the chamber informed the upcoming mega event of the chamber ‘Winter Gala 2014’. He said that the event is annual and attracts over 500 guests from different walks of life which includes political personalities, eminent Indo Canadians, government decision makers etc.


    The event was attended by over 50 young professionals. The event presented the perfect avenue for young professionals to meet each other and discuss the experiences they face as they begin their working careers. Most attendees look forward to joining the chamber as well as attending the next set of events hosted by the new Young Professionals Committee.

    President's Message

    Winter Gala 2014 (Holiday Dinner & Dance)

    The Winter Gala - popularly known as the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC)’s Annual Holiday Dinner & Dance - is one of the Chamber’s marquee event will be held on 05 December 2014. The theme of this year’s Winter Gala is ‘The Royal Darbar’.

    Our guests at the event include Chamber's esteemed members, sponsors, friends of the community, professionals, entrepreneurs, senior representative of corporations, government officials, political leaders, and opinion makers. The program comprises a blend of theme-based entertainment, spectacular song and dance sequences and sumptuous culinary delights. 

    Sports Forum 2014

    In the light of Chamber’s previous activities in the different sectors, the ICCC board decided to launch the Sports Forum on December 05, 2014 for its annual mega event.  Sports have deep roots in the Canadian society and a significant presence in both Canada and India. Canada is known for its National Sports Game ICE Hockey in which it has won World Championships in the past. Canada also offers various other National Sports such as Soccer, Basketball, Handball, Baseball etc.

    Apart from that there are emerging sports in the country and Cricket is one among those sports. In the light of the above facts; Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce has decided to have a full day panel discussions on the subject on 5th December 2014. The forum comprises two panel discussions on Emerging Sports: Cricket and Popular National Sports. 

    India Mission 2015

    Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) will lead the trade mission to India from 04-18 January 2015, which will provide an opportunity to Canadian small businesses to explore the Indian market. The India Mission 2015 will visit Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Jaipur and New Delhi. Delegates will participate in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) and Vibrant Gujarat 2015 in Gandhinagar, where Canada is declared as partner country.

    The mission will provide golden opportunity to meet captains of industry, government officials, diplomatic corps, and vibrant leaders of India. There will be briefing sessions by Canadian diplomats from trade commissioner’s office and network with local chambers of commerce and industry association.

    The trade mission will focus on energy, education, science & technology, bilateral investment and other sectors. ICCC welcomes the leaders in the Canadian Small and Medium sectors to join the India Mission 2015 and explore the emerging opportunities in India.

    ICCC’s headquarters

    As you are aware, that chamber has acquired 6, 000 square feet building last year. After the completion of the renovation work, the building is ready to host ICCC events in its own premises. ICCC has completed all the legal formalities to organise the events in its event floor. The very first event was organized on October 31, 2014 which was attended by over 50 ICCC members.

    Chamber's lapel pins:

    New lapel pins are available at chamber’s office for its active members. New members are receiving them in their welcome package. Those who do not have they can contact chamber’s office for collecting one. All members are requested to wear the pin with great pride while attending chamber’s events.

    ACTIVITIES IN OCTOBER 2014

    October 01:   Mr. Dharma Jain, President, Naval Bajaj, IPP and Chair, India Mission, Tony Chawla, VP-Event and Rajni Tekriwal, VP & Corporate Secretary, met Dr. K Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO). Your directors congratulated Dr. Radhakrishnan for India’s successful Mars mission ‘Mangalyaan’. Dr. Radhakrishnan was in Toronto to receive the Allan D. Emil Memorial Award for his outstanding contribution to space science, space technology, space medicine or space law. It also helps to strengthen the Canada India space cooperation. 

                         

    October 02: ICCC board members, Dharma Jain, Naval Bajaj and Rajni Tekriwal, participated in a function organized by Vishnu Temple in honour of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on Oct 02. . Hon. Prime Minister, Stephen Harper was the Chief Guest at the function and visited to the Monument of Fallen Soldiers and The Wall of Peace.  Indo Canadian community participated in this celebration.


    October 05:  ICCC president had a very constructive meeting with past president Mr. Hari Pandey. Both shared their thought to make Chamber more community inclusive and vibrant.

                                                  

    October 07: Mr. Dharma P Jain and Naval Bajaj participated in the facilitation ceremony of Ms. Chanda Kochar, CEO and CMD of ICICI Group, who was conferred honorary Doctorate degree by the Carleton University in Ottawa. The event was also witnessed by Minister Ed Fast, Minister Bal Gosal, Senator Asha Seth and some other Members of the House of Commons. 


    October 08: Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce organized an interactive session on, “Keys to Successful Business Management” on 08 October 2014 in Toronto. The session was part of ICCC-RBC speaker series. Ms. Naznine Virjee, Vice President, Commercial Markets, Retail Sector, RBC Royal Bank was the guest speaker of the evening. She said that for a successful business; a strong blue print of a business plan is essential, supported with an effective marketing strategy. She also presented various techniques to manage a business successfully. This event was part of ICCC’s Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals Committee event and was very well attended and lauded.


    October 08: ICCC President Mr. Dharma P Jain, Vice President Mr. Tony Chawla and Immediate Past President Mr. Naval Bajaj also attended Diwali Celebration at Queens Park with Premier Kathleen Wayne, organized by Panorama India.


    October 10: ICCC President Mr. Dharma P Jain along with Mr. Naval Bajaj, Immediate past President, attended the memorial event in the honour of Late Mr. Vasu Chanchlani organised by Canada India Foundation.  Mr. Jain said that Late Mr. Chanchlani was a great friend and guide of the Chamber. He was the recipient of chamber's first technology award. Mr. Naval Bajaj, in his remarks remembered late Vasu and his strong commitment for Indo Canadian community. He also recalled Late Mr. Vasdev Chanchlani's sponsorship for ICCC's research project on “Canada India bilateral relations: Unlocking its full potential”.           

    October 14: Mr. Dharma P Jain, President ICCC met with Mr. Pankaj Mehra from Scotia Bank to discuss the future collaboration between the chamber and the bank.       

    October 16: India is a country of future and future has arrived. Young and educated population of India, business friendly government and robust banking system will write the Indian growth story in the years to come. The growth potential in India is expected to propel Canada-India business ties, Benjamin Tal, Chief Economist, CIBC bank said. Mr. Benjamin Tal was addressing members and invited guests at the Speaker Series of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce in Brampton. He further said that the world economy is going down but the trend in Indian economy is opposite to these developments. He added that the new Government in India is business friendly and have the potential to attract more investment to develop their economy with the reforms in regulations.

    October 17: President Dharma P Jain had a meeting with Dr. Lucky Lakshmanan Chair, Canada India Foundation. Both the leaders discussed possibility of holding a joint event on the subject of Mining and Energy in the month of March/April 2015.           

    October 18: Chamber participated in National Diwali, organized by Hon. Deepak Obhrai at Hindu temple, Brampton. This was attended by Mr. Jain, Mr. Bajaj, Ms. Rajni, Mr. Chawla, Mr. Brij, Mr. Makkar, Mr. Gupta and other board members. This event was hugely attended by Federal and Provincial politicians and Indo Canadian community in big numbers. Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper was the chief guest.

    October 21: "Manufacturing, service sector, optimum use of natural resources and young & skilled educated workforce will lead the Indian growth story in the coming years". Peter Hall, Chief Economist, Export Development Canada said on October 21, 2014. Hall was addressing ICCC members and invited guests at the Speaker Series of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce in Brampton. “Overall, the economic opportunities between Canada and India are growing exponentially, especially due to the locally developed capabilities of the Indian economy,” Hall said. Analyzing the Indian economy at present and its future trends, Hall explained that India will continue to benefit from its younger demographic as around 50% of its population is under the age of 25. 

    October 22: President Mr. Dharma P Jain and Vice President, Event, Mr. Tony Chawla held a meeting with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). They discussed with them the future cooperation as BDC shown interest in joining chamber as sponsor.

    October 30: Mr. Dharma P Jain and Mr. Naval Bajaj, participated in the ‘Make in India’ event organized by the Indian Consulate. With nearly 1.2 million Canadians who can trace their roots to India, strong people-to-people ties are a fundamental contributor to the growing trade relationship between Canada and India. India is a priority market under Canada’s Global Markets Action Planundefinedthe blueprint for creating jobs and opportunities for Canadians through trade.         

    October 31: Mr. Dharma P Jain ICCC President held a meeting with Ms. Beata Kratiuk from KMI Brokers at the Chamber’s office and discussed the possibilities of sponsorship for the ICCC’s upcoming Winter Gala 2014 and also talked on a Group Health Insurance Plan for chamber membership.

    October 31: Modern civilization is engulfed with high degree of stress due to their extravagant life style. This is affecting our health, mental peace, family life and business success.  Therefore, stress Management is essential in the modern competitive world to achieve excellence in businesses and other professions, said Nikhil Desai, International Speaker, Motivator & Trainer. Mr. Desai was interacting with the ICCC members at the ICCC headquarter at 924 The Eastmall Toronto on 31 October 2014.

    Stress management starts with identifying the reasons of stress in your life; such as work stress, job loss, unemployment and sometime emotional setbacks with relatives or with close friends. Stress obstructs your efficiency at work and makes you underperformer despite the fact that you are capable of doing things perfectly. So to avoid such situations one needs to be relaxed, spend some time with kids, watching light comedy on the TV or having a walk with friends. It helps you in changing your thoughts and keeping your mind away from the stressful thoughts, said Desai.

    Mr. Desai, also demonstrated some breathing techniques, physical exercises and laughter techniques to control stress, in which attendees also participated.

    Mr. Desai concluded his session commenting that stress free brain works smarter, faster and take prompt decisions which ultimately lead to excellence in business and profession.

    "What could be better than this that Chamber is organising its first event at headquarter on such a wonderful topic" said Dharma P Jain, President. Mr. Jain congratulated the ICCC members to being part of the ICCC success story of making this dream true for having our own building. He said that managing stress is all about taking charge of your thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way you deal with problems.

       

    		 
    Naval Bajaj, Immediate Past President, apprised members about buying the building and its renovation. He also thanked past board members for supporting him and thanked the current leadership for obtaining all regulatory permits to start ICCC operations.

    Rajni Tekriwal, VP & Corporate Secretary introduced the speaker while Mr. Ajay Gupta, Director ICCC gave vote of thanks.

    Mr. Peter G Hall
    		  Hall was addressing ICCC members and invited guests at the Speaker Series of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce in Brampton. He said that over build housing market, increased consumer debt and a trading economy with lower growth of manufacturing sector compelled Canada to diversify its trade partners and look beyond USA. Canada can utilize the Indian market for starting manufacturing activities to boost the economy.

    “Overall, the economic opportunities between Canada and India are growing exponentially, especially due to the locally developed capabilities of the Indian economy,” Hall said.

    Analyzing the Indian economy at present and its future trends, Hall explained that India will continue to benefit from its younger demographic as around 50% of its population is under the age of 25.

    He added that the Government of India is now actively inviting the very substantial investments and trading partners needed to fuel the country’s tremendous infrastructural requirements across several sectors. Domestic consumption patterns in India are also helping its economy whereas Canadian market is limited.

    Dharma P Jain, President ICCC, said, “SMEs will be performing a major role in sustaining the Canadian economy and the most effective way to overcome recessionary trends in the local North American economy is for the SMEs to explore global markets like India.” The new Government in India is business friendly and have the potential to attract more investment to develop their economy with the reforms in regulations.

    India is a country of future and future has arrived. Young and educated population of India, business friendly government and robust banking system will write the Indian growth story in the years to come. The growth potential in India is expected to propel Canada-India business ties, Benjamin Tal, Chief Economist, CIBC bank said on October 16, 2014.

      Mr. Benjamin Tal was addressing members and invited guests at the Speaker Series of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce in Brampton. He further said that the world economy is going down but the trend in Indian economy is opposite to these developments. He added that the new Government in India is business friendly and have the potential to attract more investment to develop their economy with the reforms in regulations.

    Indian skilled and educated work force is growing while most countries including Canada and China will be experiencing a net reversal of labor trends i.e. retiring workers will exceed those joining the workforce as result of aging populations, India will continue to benefit from its younger demographic.
    		 


    Analyzing the Global economy at present and its future trends, Tal explained that all the major economic blocks such as Eurozone, G-7 and OPEC countries are struggling to stabilise their economies. Canada emerged as a model economy for the G-7 countries which is keeping the low interest rates and slowly increasing the capacity of its productivity in manufacturing sector. Canada is more concerned with the items which are sensitive to CAD$ as it wanted to keep the CAD$ lower as compare to US $.

    Mr. Dharma P Jain, President, ICCC said that major strength of the Small and medium businesses is their close relationship with their immediate customers. This relationship has been challenged with the low cost and technically competitive products in the open market. So to cope with this challenge the small businesses needs new market and comparatively better product to compete. ICCC is always championed the cause of the SMEs in its mandate and continuously working for their cause.

    Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce organized an interactive session on, “Keys to Successful Business Management” on 08 October 2014.The session was part of ICCC-RBC speaker series. It was focussed on the ICCC’s Women Entrepreneurs Professionals.


    Ms. Ginni Sethi, Director WEP of the Chamber welcomes all participants and said that the interactive session will provide information for starting a new business and how we can sustain that business in long run in the competitive market.

She said that for a successful business; a strong blue print of a business plan is essential, supported with an effective marketing strategy. It should be ensured that you have adequate funds and a planned cash flow. Information regarding your potential customers, market, challenges, competitive landscape helps you in preparing your blueprint.

    She further said that evaluation besides your business progress helps you in updating and modifying your market strategies which keeps you one step ahead of your competitors. A marketing plan outlines how you intend to acquire, retain and grow your customer base – and generate revenue for your business. From researching your market to finding the right way is to speak to your customers, this is a critical part of every business’s success.

    President's Message

    I am pleased to convey that in continuation of ICCC’s work for developing Canada India bilateral trade relations and branding Canada in India; Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) will lead the trade mission to India in January 2015, which will provide an opportunity to Canadian small businesses to explore the Indian market. Delegates can actively participate in the Vibrant Gujarat 2015 and Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in Gandhinagar, where Canada is declared as partner country.

    The trade mission will focus on energy, education, science & technology, bilateral investment, food processing, tourism, construction and development, information technology and the services sector. ICCC welcomes the leaders in the Canadian Small and Medium sectors to join the India Mission 2015 and explore the emerging opportunities in India.

    ACTIVITIES IN SEPTEMBER 2014

    September 03: Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) in partnership with City of Brampton and City of Markham organised a business roundtable on, “Promoting Canada India Bilateral Trade & Investment” with a visiting international business delegation from India. The delegation was led by Mr. Bharat Lal and exploring the new areas for promoting bilateral trade and investment between Canada and India in sectors such as energy, education, information technology, finance and chemicals.

    September 03: : Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) in partnership with City of Brampton and City of Markham organised a business reception for visiting ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ business delegation from India on 03 September 2014 in Toronto. The delegation was exploring the new areas for promoting bilateral trade and investment between Canada and India in sectors such as mining, energy, renewable energy, automotive industry, education, information technology, finance and infrastructure.

    The delegation was led by Mr. Bharat Lal, Resident Commissioner who was also accompanied with Govt. Officials to promote the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit. The summit will be held in Gandhinagar from 11-13, January 2015 and will coincide with Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2015 (PBD2015). The year 2015 marks the centenary of the return of the greatest ‘Pravasi’ of all, Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa.

    September 04: Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce participated in the second annual "Pay It Forward" legal networking event. This event was designed to connect professionals within the legal field with senior as well as young aspiring lawyers. The vision was to create long-term relations among industry professionals while mentoring students and fresh graduates.

    September 06 & 07: Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce participated in The National Franchise & business Opportunities Show held at the International Centre. The ICCC members were given the free entry in the show.

    September 8: Mr. Dharma P Jain, ICCC President and Mr. Naval Bajaj, Immediate past president had a luncheon meeting with Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council, our MOU partners and discussed the opportunity of holding a joint event..

    September 11: The board of directors of Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) held a media interaction for discussing the future strategies of the chamber to engage different stakeholders for the promotion of Canada India bilateral trade relations and taking forward the twin mandate of the ICCC to provide a platform for community entrepreneurs and promoting the diaspora. 

    September 12: ICCC President Mr. Jain along with Mr. Hardesh Marwaha, Director Information Technology met with Dr. Gurmeet Bambrah from CAPE (Council for Access to the Profession of Engineering Ontario, Toronto) and discussed the various schemes for government funding’s and grants for the not for profit organisations. Dr. Gurmeet has arranged receiving over $2m in Government funding to CAPE and graciously consented to help Chamber at no fee basis.

    September 22: ICCC President Mr. Dharma P Jain met with Dr. Adam Kahan, Vice President, Ryerson University and discussed holding an open house for student membership and a joint event on education. Dr. Kahan agreed to arrange a visit to chamber members for the Ryerson's Research Facility and Digital Media Centre.  Ryerson also offered their conference hall for mining and energy related events and also discussed different scholarships programs for students.

    September 24: ICCC president had a very constructive meeting with Sheldon Leiba, Executive Director, Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT), for organizing joint events and extending invitations in the events to each other.

    September 25: ICCC president along with Mr. Tony Chawla, Vice President ICCC and Mr. Mukesh Narula, Chair Cricket Committee ICCC visited Minister Bal Gosal's office and discussed the ICCC’s sports forum. They also explored the possibilities of any support for the Sports Forum from the Federal Ministry of Sports.

    September 25: Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) organised its hard hats tour of the Sigan Industries on 25 September, 2014, which was attended by ICCC members. This was an innovative learning opportunity for the members as they were given a privileged “behind the scenes” tour of Sigan Industries.

    September 26: ICCC President along with Mr. Naval Bajaj, Immediate past president and Chair India Mission visited Asian Television Network (ATN) studio and had a wide range discussions with Dr. Shan Chandrasekar, CEO  & Founder of ATN on media sponsorship and also covering the ICCC events in their media network.

    September 29: Mr. Dharma P Jain, Mr. Naval Bajaj, Mr. Tony Chawla, Mr. Brij K Sharma and Mr. Hardesh Marwaha visited the Canadian Capital City of Ottawa to attend the interactive dinner session with the Canadian parliamentarians organised by Member of Parliament Mr. Patrick Brown. ICCC board also had a meeting with the Deputy High Commissioner of India.

    September 30: Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce in partnership with CIBC Wood Gundy organized a seminar on, “Saving for Retirement- A Strategy to Protect & Grow Your Wealth for Retirement” on 30 September 2014.
